Lucas Milhaupt Sil-Fos 5 Brazing Alloy Coil, Part 32299

Brand: Lucas Milhaupt | SKU: LM32299 | Manufacturer Part: 32299

Product Overview

Part 32299 supplies Sil-Fos 5 in a 5 ft coil for copper brazing. The phosphorus in this 5% silver alloy supports copper-to-copper joining without separate flux. Copper-to-brass joints call for suitable flux, and the medium-flow filler should be selected with the joint fit in mind.

Key Features

• 5% silver, 89% copper, 6% phosphorus
• 0.050 x 0.125 in. strip, 5 ft coil
• AWS BCuP-3 classification

Common Uses

Copper HVAC/R tubing, air-conditioning coils, and evaporator coils.

Compatibility & Installation Notes

Use a suitable flux on brass and avoid nickel- or iron-base alloys for phosphorus-bearing filler. Follow the manufacturer’s TDS and SDS for heating and handling.

FAQs

Does the coil need flux on copper? No separate flux is normally needed for copper-to-copper brazing; use appropriate flux on brass.
