Rain Bird 44K Quick-Coupling Valve Key for 44RC and 44NP

Rain Bird 44K Quick-Coupling Valve Key for 44RC and 44NP

Brand: Rain Bird | SKU: 44K

Product Overview

Use the 44K key to obtain water access from a matching Rain Bird quick-coupling valve. Check the valve model and the hose-connection adapter before ordering; matching the nominal pipe size alone is not enough.

Key Features

• Brass key for compatible 44-series quick-coupling valves.
• Top connections offer male and female pipe-thread options.
• Removable access key for temporary watering connections.

Common Uses

• Connecting temporary watering equipment to a 44RC valve.
• Servicing a compatible 44NP non-potable water access point while retaining system identification.

Dimensions

Allow clearance above the valve for inserting and turning the key, plus room for the connected adapter and hose. Select fit by valve model rather than estimating from the key’s outside size.

Compatibility & Installation Notes

Confirm the installed valve is listed for the 44K key. Use an adapter or swivel that matches the stated NPT connections and your hose; pipe threads should not be treated as garden-hose threads. Maintain all non-potable-water markings at a 44NP installation. A cover-unlocking key serves a different purpose from this water-access key.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which valves are listed for the 44K key?

Rain Bird’s selection table pairs 44K with 44RC and 44NP quick-coupling valves.

What threads are at the top?

The top has nominal 1-inch male NPT and 3/4-inch female NPT connections.

Is it a key for unlocking the valve cover?

No. The 44K operates the quick-coupling water connection. A locking cover uses its specified cover key.

Why Buy from Big Frog Supply?

The 44K gives a clear match for a 44RC or 44NP access point and provides both 1-inch male and 3/4-inch female NPT top connections. Those two checks help you choose the valve key and then select the correct hose adapter, without confusing pipe size with compatibility across other quick-coupler models.
