Compatibility & Installation Notes

Select by model in the table; SAM and PRS are different features. A SAM-only body does not regulate pressure, and a PRS-only body does not include the SAM check valve.

Use the bottom inlet on SAM and SAM-PRS models. The 1812PRS permits side or bottom inlet installation; Rain Bird does not recommend side-inlet installation in freezing climates. Close the unused inlet when applicable.

Choose a compatible Rain Bird nozzle separately, flush the body before installing it and check coverage during operation. A pressure regulator reduces excess pressure; it cannot increase inadequate supply pressure.
