K-Rain 3208-WRFS Wireless Rain/Freeze Sensor for PRO EX
Brand: K-Rain SKU: 3208-WRFS
Product Overview
The K-Rain 3208-WRFS is a wireless rain/freeze sensor designed to suspend compatible irrigation operation after measurable rainfall or when outdoor temperature reaches approximately 37°F or below. It helps a supported PRO EX 2.0 control system avoid watering during weather conditions when irrigation may be unnecessary or potentially harmful.
The rain shutoff threshold can be adjusted from approximately 1/8 inch through 1/2 inch or more, and the vent ring allows the dry-out period to be adjusted for local exposure and landscape conditions. The weather-resistant sensor supports flat-surface or gutter mounting and can communicate without a wire run between the outdoor sensor and controller. Compatible PRO EX 2.0 Wi-Fi controllers within range may be paired according to K-Rain’s instructions.
This listing is for the 3208-WRFS sensor, not the 3208-WRFS-KIT. A standard PRO EX 2.0 installation requires the separate 3206 RF receiver module unless the necessary receiver was supplied with another compatible kit or is already installed. Wireless range varies with construction materials, terrain, antenna placement, obstructions, and radio interference. Mount the sensor where it can receive natural rainfall and representative outdoor temperature while remaining clear of irrigation spray, roof runoff, heat sources, and sheltered locations.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 3208-WRFS include the controller receiver?
No. This is the standalone sensor. The 3208-WRFS-KIT is the configuration that includes the sensor and RF module.
At what temperature does the freeze function interrupt watering?
K-Rain specifies freeze interruption at approximately 37°F or below.
Can one sensor work with more than one controller?
Compatible PRO EX 2.0 Wi-Fi controllers within usable range may be paired as permitted by K-Rain. Site conditions affect radio performance.
Does it measure soil moisture?
No. It responds to rainfall accumulation and freezing outdoor temperature, not soil moisture.
Why Buy the K-Rain 3208-WRFS Wireless Rain/Freeze Sensor for PRO EX?
Big Frog Supply organizes the rain/freeze functions, wireless-controller requirements, receiver considerations, and installation limits so homeowners, contractors, and maintenance teams can confirm the complete compatible PRO EX setup before ordering.
