Product Overview
The Dauer 487164-3000K is an encapsulated S8 auto-type wedge-base LED lamp for compatible 12V outdoor lighting fixtures. It produces 240 lumens at 3000K and is identified as a replacement for a #3155 lamp.
The wedge base and encapsulated form make this a fixture-specific replacement rather than a universal landscape bulb. Confirm that the existing socket and fixture documentation call for an S8 or #3155-style lamp, and compare the overall and exposed dimensions with the available enclosure space. The 360-degree output suits fixtures that use light around the lamp rather than a directional reflector. Verify 12V AC/DC operation and include the 3W load in transformer calculations. The IP65 rating does not remove the need to use the lamp in a compatible fixture and follow the fixture manufacturer’s installation requirements.
