• Larger female pipe connection distinguishes it from the SH0 and SH1 sizes.
• Hose-thread outlet connects to a matching hose coupling.

Common Uses

• Temporary watering from a matching quick-coupling water access point.
• Allowing hose movement around the fixed key connection.

Dimensions

Leave clearance around the elbow and connected hose for movement and key access. The listed inch sizes identify the connections, not the swivel’s overall height or width.

Compatibility & Installation Notes

Verify that the key outlet and hose coupling match the stated thread sizes and types. Do not assume the male hose-thread outlet is interchangeable with a male pipe-thread fitting. Relieve pressure before connecting or removing equipment, then inspect the joints for leakage. Retain non-potable identification where the water source requires it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the SH3 connections?

SH3 has nominal 1-1/2-inch female NPT at the key and 1-inch male hose thread at the hose outlet.

Does it include a quick-coupling key?

No. Choose the key separately and check that its outlet matches the swivel.

How far does it swivel?

Rain Bird specifies rotation up to 360 degrees so the hose can be pulled in different directions.

Why Buy from Big Frog Supply?

Choose SH3 for its 1-1/2-inch female NPT key connection and 1-inch male hose-thread outlet. Those larger interfaces are the selection points to confirm first; the up-to-360-degree swivel then lets the hose follow your movement without forcing the fixed key to turn with it.
