Rain Bird FS200P 2-Inch PVC Tee Flow Sensor
Brand: Rain Bird | SKU: FS200P
Product Overview
Use the Rain Bird FS200P to measure flow on a 2-inch PVC irrigation line and send the readings to a compatible control system. The impeller insert is removable from the solvent-weld tee for service. Match the expected operating flow to its suggested 10–200 GPM range, including the smallest zone that needs meaningful monitoring.
Key Features
- 2-inch PVC tee with solvent-weld socket ends.
- Impeller flow sensing with a removable insert.
- Designed for outdoor or underground installations.
- Supports flow monitoring through the required compatible controller interface.
Common Uses
- Measuring flow in a compatible 2-inch PVC irrigation mainline.
- Providing flow input for configured monitoring, learned-flow or flow-management functions where supported by the control system.

Compatibility & Installation Notes
Size the sensor for the actual station flow range as well as the pipe connection. Select the correct model in the controller or interface, or enter its exact K-factor and offset when custom calibration is required.
Provide at least 10 pipe diameters of straight, unobstructed pipe upstream and 5 downstream. Point the tee’s flow arrow in the direction of water flow; in a horizontal pipe, keep the tee upright.
Remove the sensor insert before solvent-welding the PVC tee. Keep it clean, follow the cement manufacturer’s curing instructions, then reinstall the insert and retainers as directed by Rain Bird.
For ESP-LXD, use the appropriate sensor decoder on the two-wire path; Rain Bird currently lists SD211TURF as the replacement for SD210TURF. ESP-LXMEF connects through its Flow Smart Module. Other supported systems need their specified interface; these parts are separate.
Preserve red/black signal polarity and use suitable waterproof splices. Set up and test the controller’s flow functions after installation. The sensor reports flow; shutoff and alarm behavior depend on the configured controller and valves.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does FS200P have threaded pipe ends?
No. FS200P has 2-inch PVC slip / solvent-weld socket connections. It is different from a threaded brass or international BSP sensor.
What flow range should I use for selection?
Rain Bird gives a suggested 10–200 GPM design range for FS200P. Check the actual station flows as well as the pipe size.
How much straight pipe does it need?
Allow at least 10 pipe diameters of unobstructed straight pipe upstream and 5 downstream.
Will the sensor shut off water by itself?
No. It sends flow information to the compatible control system. Any automatic shutoff or alarm requires the appropriate interface, controller setup and operating valves.
Why Buy from Big Frog Supply?
Choose FS200P when the system needs a 2-inch solvent-weld tee and expected flow fits the suggested 10–200 GPM range. Its larger measuring range serves a different demand than FS150P’s 5–100 GPM range, so check small zones as well as peak flow. The removable insert supports service access, while the required upstream and downstream straight runs determine whether the proposed location will work.
