Compatibility & Installation Notes

Check the Maxi-Paw model and cover attachment before ordering. Rain Bird lists a different cover kit for Mini-Paw; do not choose by appearance alone.

Turn off water before service. For the plastic pop-up cover, Rain Bird describes removing the center button, releasing the retaining bracket and snapping on the replacement cover before refitting the button.

The 2045A is a complete sprinkler option when replacing the whole sprinkler. It is not a separate cap-and-cover kit.

This item has been discontinued by Rain Bird, these items are while supplies last only- Replacement is part 2045A

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included?

The kit supplies the replacement dust cap and snap-on cover. The sprinkler case and internal mechanism are separate.

Does this kit fit Mini-Paw too?

Rain Bird’s parts list assigns 208001 to Maxi-Paw and Maxi-Paw SAM and a different cover kit to Mini-Paw. Confirm your model before ordering.

Is 2045A another cap kit?

No. The 2045A is a complete Maxi-Paw sprinkler, so consider it when the entire sprinkler needs replacement.

Why Buy from Big Frog Supply?

Choose COVER-CAPPK when the dust cap or snap-on cover on a compatible Maxi-Paw or Maxi-Paw SAM needs repair and the sprinkler underneath is sound. Its two cover components target top-cover damage; they do not replace the case or internal mechanism. Confirm Maxi-Paw fit because Mini-Paw uses a different cover kit.
